In an effort to promote a healthy lifestyle for our youth and host a fundraiser without having our kids selling products, the DeForest Area Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (DAMS PTO) will be hosting the 4th Annual DeFo Dash on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 9 AM.  This will be a 5K or 1 Mile Run / Walk, open to the community. We are excited to ask for your support of our community event.

Last year with the support of parents, community members and businesses, we were able to raise $5,990 dollars which made our DAMS after school programs possible. All proceeds from this year's DeFo Dash will be used to support after school programs at DAMS and chromebook charging cart purchases. We believe strongly that we can enrich and greater engage students with learning when we can provide them with real world experiences out in our community. This year alone, all DAMS students have been able to participate in field trips to enrich their classroom experience. Your support will help to reduce the cost of these experiences for our students by paying for transportation and/or fees. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to support these experiences for all the students at the school.

This is our fourth year hosting the DeFo Dash and we have the school’s complete support to promote physical activity while raising funds to improve the learning experiences for the students.
